Michelle’s first encounter with yoga was when she took a semester-long hatha yoga course at Riverside Community College in 2008. What was originally supposed to be credit filler ended up becoming a lasting passion for her. Since then, Michelle has found herself entranced by the physical and spiritual journey that yoga brings to her practice, on and off the mat.
After many years of searching, Michelle finally found Just Yoga in 2012. She instantly felt a great sense of community and friendship at the studio. Michelle feels that Just Yoga is a place that does not pass judgement, where egos are checked at the door and playfulness is strongly encouraged. To her, Just Yoga feels like a second home.
In August 2017, Michelle leaped at the chance of taking the 200-hour Teacher Training provided by Just Yoga. Then, three months into her training, Michelle and her hubby found out they were expecting their first child after several years of trying. Michelle continued training during her entire pregnancy and feels that yoga is what contributed to a blissful pregnancy and relatively easy labor.
Michelle is a California native with a BA in Social Science and Psychology. When she is not on her mat, she is either managing her private photography business or spending time with her baby girl, born in July 2018. Michelle’s other passion is her love of Classic Rock, so get ready to rock out and be entertained in her classes. “I like to have fun in yoga and if that means including a little Led Zeppelin or Rolling Stones, then make it so.”
